Blue Tickets B.V. (“Blue”) acts as an intermediary in the sale of tickets. When you order a ticket from us, you use our software and enter into an intermediary agreement with Blue. Additionally, a separate agreement arises between you (“the Buyer”) and the organizer of the event or arrangement. Blue facilitates the ordering and delivery process and is not a party to the agreement between you and the organizer.
We believe it is important that our general terms and conditions are clear, fair, and future-oriented. With these terms, we want to give you insight into your rights and obligations, and what you can expect from us. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our customer service.
Arrangement – an additional offer from an organizer provided through our platform.
Event – a public or private occurrence for which a ticket is sold.
Blue – Blue Tickets B.V., located at Zijldijk 24b, 2352 AB Leiderdorp, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 87380137.
Buyer – the person or company using our services.
Participation Agreement – the agreement between the Buyer and the organizer that is established through Blue's mediation.
Platform – our online channel or a third-party channel on which tickets, products, or arrangements are ordered.
Service Services – all mediation and related services that Blue provides, including selling tickets and offering events and arrangements.
Mediation Agreement – the agreement between the Buyer and Blue for establishing a Participation Agreement.
Ticket – the electronic or paper proof of access to an event or arrangement.
Third Party(ies) – a party providing a product or service in connection with the event or arrangement that is not the organizer or Blue.
These general terms and conditions apply to every Mediation Agreement between Blue and the Buyer. For the Participation Agreement, the organizer's terms apply. In case of conflict between both terms, Blue's terms prevail.
Deviations from these terms are only valid if confirmed in writing or by email by Blue. If a provision proves invalid or voidable, the remaining provisions remain in force. The invalid provision will be replaced by a provision that matches the purpose and scope of the original provision as closely as possible.
Blue may change these general terms and conditions. When changes are material to you, you will receive notice via email and they will take effect on the indicated date. If you do not agree with the changed terms, you can no longer use our services.
All offers, advertisements, and information about events and ticket availability are non-binding and subject to change. Obvious clerical errors or mistakes do not bind Blue nor the organizer. By placing an order through our platform, two agreements are established: the Mediation Agreement with Blue and the Participation Agreement with the organizer. The Participation Agreement only arises when you have fully completed the reservation process and the payment is confirmed. You will then receive a confirmation by email with a transaction number. Check your order carefully before you pay – the accuracy of the data is your responsibility. For certain events, a maximum number of tickets to be purchased may apply. Blue reserves the right to cancel orders that exceed this maximum. The right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure activity agreements with a specific date or period. Tickets can therefore usually not be returned or cancelled.
Persons under 16 may not use Blue. The Buyer may only use the platform for their own, non-commercial purposes. It is not permitted to use the platform in a way that hinders other users or disrupts the operation of the services, for example by bypassing security measures or using someone else's login details. If you use a third-party platform, the terms of that third party also apply. Blue provides the services to the best of its ability and as a careful professional. For maintenance or improvements, the platform may be temporarily unavailable. In that case, we aim to inform you in advance.
Blue does not check the capacity or solvency of the organizer and is not responsible for the quality of the service or event offered. If the organizer fails to fulfill its obligations, the Buyer must address the organizer and not Blue. Blue is solely responsible for correctly providing the service services. We facilitate contact between buyers and organizers and try to inform you about changes, cancellations, and special circumstances. The final execution of the event, however, lies with the organizer.
All prices on the platform include VAT. During the ordering process, we clearly show the total amount, including any service fees, order costs, transaction fees, shipping costs, or other surcharges. Blue aims for maximum transparency regarding all costs shown before or during the ordering process. When placing an order via the platform, service fees or order costs may be charged. These costs are a fee to Blue Tickets B.V. for the use of the ticket platform, payment processing, and/or digital handling of the order. The amount of these costs is always stated before completion of the order. The service or order costs do not go to the organizer, but solely to Blue Tickets B.V. These costs include VAT and are not refunded upon cancellation, unless otherwise determined by law or if the organizer decides otherwise. Blue receives the ticket price and any additional costs on behalf of the organizer. Payment takes place via the payment methods on the platform. After receiving full payment, the tickets are delivered. In case of bankruptcy of the organizer or the event not taking place, Blue is not obliged to refund the costs for the service services. If the organizer decides to refund and engages Blue for this, we will refund the funds paid by you, with the exception of any service or order costs paid, unless the organizer determines otherwise.
Tickets are personal and may not be resold or otherwise made available in a commercial manner without written permission from the organizer or Blue. Resale via Ticketswap is allowed, provided that platform accepts the tickets. In case of violation of these rules, Blue or the organizer can invalidate the tickets and access to the event will be refused, without right to refund. Only a complete, legible, and intact ticket gives access to the event. The first person to show the ticket gets access. Blue can set a maximum on the number of tickets per buyer to promote fair distribution of tickets.
Blue is not liable for compensation or refund in case of cancelled or rescheduled events; this responsibility lies with the organizer. We do our best to inform you as soon as we receive information from the organizer, but cannot guarantee this. Tickets for rescheduled events usually remain valid for the new date or location. Any refund conditions are determined by the organizer. Service or order costs are not refunded in case of cancellation or postponement, unless the organizer determines otherwise.
All texts, photos, images, trade and domain names, brands, and logos on the platform are protected by intellectual property rights and belong to Blue, its licensors, the organizer, or the platform manager. Use or reproduction of these is not permitted without permission from the rights holder.
Do you have a complaint about our services? Let us know as soon as possible so we can look for a solution together. You can reach us via the contact form on our website or via customer service. Do you have a complaint about the event, arrangement, or product itself? Then you must submit the complaint to the organizer so they have the opportunity to handle it. For complaints about online purchases, you can also use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform via https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
We do our best to place correct information on the platform, but inaccuracies and typos can occur. Blue is not liable for such errors, nor for interruptions in the operation of the platform. Blue is not liable for damage resulting from events outside its sphere of influence, for acts or omissions of the Buyer themselves, or for delay or incorrect delivery of tickets due to causes not attributable to Blue. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid to Blue for the services to which the liability relates. Legal claims must be brought within one year; after this year, the right expires. This limitation does not apply in case of intent or gross negligence by Blue. Blue is not liable for loss, theft, or misuse of tickets; damaged or lost tickets will not be replaced.
If Blue is temporarily unable to fulfill its obligations due to force majeure, these obligations are suspended. Force majeure includes, among other things, non-attributable failures of third parties or the organizer, bankruptcy of the organizer, fire, theft, epidemics or pandemics, power failures, email and internet failures, terrorism, data loss due to computer failures or hacking, and other circumstances beyond Blue's control. As soon as the force majeure situation has ended, Blue will fulfill its obligations as yet.
We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our privacy statement explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what your rights are. By placing an order, the Buyer is deemed to have taken note of this privacy statement.
If you buy products or services directly from a third party through the platform (other than via our ticketing software), you and the third party enter into a direct agreement. The general terms and conditions of the third party in question apply to that agreement. Blue and the organizer are not a party to such an agreement and are not liable for its performance.
Dutch law applies to the Mediation Agreement and the use of the services. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in The Hague, unless mandatory legal provisions designate another court.
These general terms and conditions take effect on October 6, 2025, and replace previous versions. They can be sent free of charge upon request and can be consulted on our website. Questions or suggestions? Our customer service is happy to help.
